Chris Sutherland, CPA

Chris is a Certified Public Accountant. He joined Trust Company of the South in 2008 after fourteen years with PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP, where he was a Director in their Personal Financial Services group. He is a Senior Wealth Advisor in Charlotte, responsible for working directly with our clients to provide integrated wealth management solutions, and is a member of the firm’s Management Committee. Chris graduated in 1994 from Clemson University with a B.S. in Accounting.

Chris served on the board of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central & Western North Carolina for 12 years. He was Board Chair for two years and served several years as Treasurer. He currently serves on the board of What’s Next, a Charlotte non-profit opening doors for young men in underserved communities via life-long relationships.  He has also volunteered his time at Levine Children’s Hospital.

Chris and his wife, Amy, have three children. They are active members in their church where Chris has served in many leadership roles, most recently as Chair of the Missions Council.  He has also coached numerous basketball and soccer teams in various local youth associations.
